Per Logitech’s official YETI 2 specs and setup guide, the YETI 2 mounts on a boom arm through the 5/8-inch thread in its base. Choose an arm rated for at least 995 g (about 35.1 oz), the official weight with the stand. It also needs a 5/8-inch mount or an included 5/8-inch adapter.
Maximum load is the heaviest mic an arm is rated to hold. This guide is based on Logitech’s official specs and setup guide and each arm maker’s official specs, checked in November 2026. The arms weren’t tested hands-on.
Quick-reference table for YETI 2 arms
Match your arm to the mount thread and maximum load listed on its spec page.
| Arm mount | Verdict |
|---|---|
| 5/8-inch mount | ✓ Fits directly |
| 1/4-inch mount with a 5/8-inch adapter included | ✓ Fits with the included adapter |
| 3/8-inch mount only | △ Needs a separate adapter (not included with YETI 2) |
| Thread not stated officially | — Can’t confirm from official specs |
| Arm’s maximum load | Verdict |
|---|---|
| 995 g or more | ✓ Within the limit even at 995 g with stand (barely, if the maximum is close to 995 g) |
| Under 995 g | △ Can’t confirm from official figures (no mic-only weight) |
| Not stated | — No official maximum |
Each verdict covers its own row only. ”✓” means that item is fine, ”△” means you need an extra part or a check, and ”—” means the official figures can’t settle it. Check your arm against both tables.
How to tell if your arm is 5/8-inch or 3/8-inch
Look for the mount (thread) line on the arm’s spec page. The YETI 2 fits a 5/8-inch arm mount directly. A 1/4-inch mount fits too if it comes with a 5/8-inch adapter.
Since the YETI 2 thread is 5/8 inch, an arm with only a 3/8-inch mount needs a 3/8-to-5/8-inch adapter. Logitech’s setup guide says the adapter is not included.
Pick an adapter that goes from the 3/8-inch female thread, which takes the arm’s screw, to a 5/8-inch male thread, which screws into the YETI 2.
Comparing the arm’s maximum load
The official 995 g includes the stand, and Logitech gives no mic-only weight. If an arm’s maximum load is 995 g or more, the mic alone, which is lighter than mic plus stand, is within it too. For an arm rated below 995 g, official figures can’t confirm the fit.
There’s no official mic-only YETI 2 weight, so an arm’s minimum load can’t be checked. What official figures can confirm is whether the maximum is at least 995 g, the weight with the stand.
Taking the stand off to mount it
The steps below follow Logitech’s setup guide. The screen can be flipped 180° for upside-down mounting.
- Loosen the side screws and lift the mic out of the stand.
- Plug the side thread holes with the rubber stoppers from the box’s accessory tray.
- Mount the mic on the arm by the base thread.
Does a low-profile arm work too?
Yes. A low-profile arm sits low on the desk. Choose it the same way as a standard arm, using the two conditions in the table.
Picks by condition
For a standard arm, Elgato Wave Mic Arm is the pick. For a low profile on the desk, it’s Elgato Wave Mic Arm LP. If your arm has only a 3/8-inch mount, add Frgyee 3/8 to 5/8 thread adapter.
Picks meet the conditions in official load and thread specs, and each is sold new on Amazon, with 100+ ratings and 4+ stars, by Amazon or the brand. Each slot had one listing that met them (models left out and why are in the data section at the end).
Both arm picks here come with a 5/8-inch adapter, so no separate adapter is needed.
Standard spring arm (maximum load 995 g or more, 5/8-inch)
Per Elgato’s official specs, the Elgato Wave Mic Arm is rated for up to 1,000 g, just 5 g above the 995 g weight with the stand, a borderline margin. The mic alone is lighter, but with no official figure the real margin is unknown.
Low-profile arm for a low setup
Per Elgato’s official specs, the low-profile Elgato Wave Mic Arm LP is rated for up to 2,000 g including accessories, so even 995 g with the stand is within it. Elgato says it sits below the shoulder line.
3/8-inch arm that needs a thread adapter
It goes from a 3/8-inch female thread to a 5/8-inch male thread. The listing title names the 3/8-inch to 5/8-inch direction.
brand seller, shipped by Amazon
The part that grips the desk edge is the clamp. Per the official specs, both arm picks clamp desks up to 60 mm (about 2.4 in) thick, and neither lists a minimum.
Measure your desk’s thickness once before you buy.

FAQ
Which mic arm fits the YETI 2?
Per Logitech’s official YETI 2 specs and setup guide, the YETI 2 mounts on a boom arm through the 5/8-inch thread in its base. Choose an arm rated for at least 995 g (about 35.1 oz), the official weight with the stand.
It also needs a 5/8-inch mount or an included 5/8-inch adapter.
Do I need an adapter to put the YETI 2 on a 3/8-inch arm?
A 3/8-inch arm needs a thread adapter, which the YETI 2 doesn’t include.
Can a mic arm hold the YETI 2’s weight?
The 995 g includes the stand, so an arm rated at 995 g or more covers the mic alone too.
Do I take the stand off to use a mic arm?
Remove the stand first and plug the side holes with the included rubber stoppers.
Is there a mic arm that says it’s made for the YETI 2?
None of the arms checked names the YETI 2 in its official specs. The two conditions in the quick-reference table are enough to choose.
What if my mic arm sags under the mic?
First check that the arm’s maximum load is at least 995 g. If it still droops within the limit, see the arm’s manual for adjustment.
Data and formulas used (for verification)
Method
- Covers Logitech’s official YETI 2 specs and setup guide as of November 3, 2026, the official specs of mic arms from major makers (Elgato, RØDE, Logitech, InnoGear, FIFINE), and Amazon.com listings. Nothing was tested hands-on.
- Only official maker specs are used. Figures from store listings are labeled as such and are not used for slot conditions.
- The YETI 2 weight is the official “Microphone with stand” figure, 995 g. There is no official mic-only weight, and none is estimated. If an arm’s maximum load is at least 995 g, the mic alone, being lighter than mic plus stand, is also within it (this guide’s reasoning). Below 995 g, official figures cannot confirm a fit either way.
- An arm’s minimum load can’t be compared, because there is no official mic-only weight.
- The Elgato Wave Mic Arm’s maximum load includes accessories. The weight of its 5/8-inch adapter is not published, so it is not counted in the 5 g margin.
- Thread: the YETI 2 base is 5/8”-27 (official). A 5/8-inch arm mount fits directly; a 1/4-inch mount with an included 5/8-inch adapter fits with that adapter. An arm with only a 3/8-inch mount needs a separate adapter, which the YETI 2 does not include.
- Clamp: desk thickness (assumed 15 to 50 mm) is compared with the official clamp maximum. No arm states a clamp minimum.
- Picks are the cheapest models that meet the slot conditions in official specs and whose Amazon listing is for a new item, has 100+ ratings and 4+ stars, and is sold by Amazon or the brand (checked November 3, 2026). The adapter is an accessory without official specs, so only listings whose title states the direction (3/8-inch female to 5/8-inch male) qualify.
