About advertising
Blog posts may use third-party advertising services, including Google AdSense. Advertising vendors may use cookies to serve interest-based ads. Their use of cookies is not under our control.
For how to disable cookies and for Google AdSense details, see Google's advertising policies.
For visitors from the EU, UK and Switzerland (Google-certified CMP)
Visitors from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and Switzerland are presented with consent management for cookies and personalised advertising via a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP), in line with the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive.
- Consent options shown include "Consent," "Do not consent," and "Manage options."
- If "Do not consent" is selected, Google and its third-party advertising partners do not serve personalised ads — only non-personalised ads are shown.
- Consent can be changed at any time. To re-display the banner, clear your browser cookies and visit from a supported region.
Visitors outside those regions, including Japan, do not currently see a consent banner. Analytics and ad-cookie handling follow the sections above.
